Job Title: Litigation Paralegal

Location: Tampa, FL / Orlando, FL / Boca Raton, FL

Salary/Payrate: $55K - $70K + Bonus, Excellent Benefits (100% paid health, life, dental, vision + 401K matching)

Bachelor’s degree required: Bachelors Required, Paralegal Certificate Preferred

Our law firm client, with several offices in Florida, is seeking a Litigation Paralegal. This is a full-time, permanent position for Paralegals who are eager for the opportunity for career growth, an educational environment, and a positive work atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• New client intake
• Drafting and preparing summons
• Draft and file legal documents and pleadings in State and Federal Courts
• Draft, file, and serve discovery
• Organize and manage Attorney(s) calendar
• Schedule depositions/hearings/mediations/arbitrations
• Clear and effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, judicial employees, and team members
• Use of and date entry into firm’s case management software
• Assists with the settlement process

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of Florida paralegal experience preferred
• Familiarity or knowledge working in the area of First-Party Property, or alike practice
• Knowledge of State Court rules and procedures
• Familiarity with State and Federal Court filing systems
• Familiarity with legal terminology, drafting pleadings, discovery, and legal documents
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
• Bachelor’s degree, Paralegal Certificate preferred but not required
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required
