Our federal client is looking to hire a Senior Project Engineer at their offices in Merrifield, VA 22082. Please send your resume in WORD format should you be interested in exploring this role. The position is on a contract to hire basis and will pay an hourly rate of $60/HR to $70/HR 1099, dependent on experience. We also offer the option of $120K W2, with full benefits and PTO. The position allows for a hybrid work week (1-2 days a week remote) after an initial orientation period.

Clearance requires that the candidates have resided in the US for the past five years. The selected candidate cannot have left the country for longer than 90 consecutive days and no more than 180 cumulative days***

Senior Project Engineer

• For machine deployment or relocation projects and support as well as for customer and field training activities.
• Project management skills as well as technical experience with industrial control bus topologies, PLC programing and HMI creation or modifications are beneficial.
• Good HW, SW and configuration troubleshooting skills are needed for the deployment, commissioning, validation and support work.
• Good communication skills verbal and in writing are required for documentation, procedures, customer training and support activities.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field and ability to get and maintain sensitive security clearance are required.
• Hybrid work schedule with office location in Merrifield VA.
• This job requires flexibility to travel multiple times a year for the duration of a new machine installation, machine relocation and reconfigurations or meeting with vendors or others.
