Job Description:

Our Florida law firm client is seeking a business and tax/mergers and acquisitions attorney on a remote basis. Candidates must have at least seven years of experience with a background in corporate and business planning, business succession planning, business tax planning, and mergers and acquisitions.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on corporate and business planning matters
• Handle business succession planning for closely held and family-owned entities
• Provide strategic business tax planning guidance
• Structure and negotiate mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures
• Draft and review complex transactional documents and agreements
• Counsel clients on entity formation and organizational structuring
• Manage client relationships and provide practical, business-focused legal advice

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in corporate, tax, and M&A work
• Strong background in:
• Business and corporate planning
• Business succession planning
• Tax planning
• Mergers & acquisitions
• Entity formations and joint ventures
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to clients
• Strong organizational skills with excellent follow-through
• High level of professionalism, commitment, and attention to detail
• Licensed and in good standing with the Florida Bar
