Our client, a well-regarded international law firm, is seeking a Manager, Client Programs & Events for their Houston office (hybrid role). This role leads the planning, coordination, and delivery of in-person and virtual events—such as CLE programs, webinars, receptions, and strategic client engagements—supporting the firm’s local attorneys and practices. The manager works closely with business development, marketing, and regional leaders to ensure seamless execution and alignment with firm priorities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Houston-based client-facing events, including seminars, panels, and social gatherings.
  • Develop event strategy, propose relevant topics, formats, and speakers based on industry insights and firm priorities.
  • Coordinate logistics, including vendor management, venue sourcing, timelines, and budget oversight.
  • Ensure CLE compliance, advising attorneys on MCLE accreditation requirements.
  • Collaborate with BD teams to identify target audiences, and support attorney participation in both firm-led and external speaking opportunities.
  • Maintain event data and metrics, track KPIs for client and practice reviews.
  • Oversee firm sponsorship activities and charitable event participation, ensuring alignment with client relationship goals.
  • Draft and implement event marketing campaigns, including invitations and follow-up communications.
  • Foster effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Steward firm resources and ensure all activities follow firm guidelines and operational standards.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of event production, programming, and professional services environments
  • Proficiency in tools such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel; familiarity with CRM systems (InterAction a plus)
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Skilled in handling confidential matters, exercising sound judgment and discretion
  • Confident independent contributor with a team-oriented mindset
  • Familiarity with legal industry trends and major corporate clients (Fortune 500 exposure a plus)
  • Strong writing, editing, and presentation development skills
  • Willingness to travel and adjust hours to meet program demands


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 7+ years of experience in events, marketing, or client programming within a professional services setting (law firm preferred)
