The HR Manager will serve in a firm-wide capacity providing day-to-day HR guidance and support to managers and administrative staff. In addition, the HR Manager will ensure that HR initiatives are in alignment with the Firm’s business strategy, culture and values across all offices. This position is responsible for driving employee engagement, overseeing core HR processes such as recruiting, performance management, compensation and employee relations, and serving as a trusted partner to leadership and staff across all offices.
As an HR Manager, your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Counsel Firm leadership on recruiting, employee relations, labor and employment compliance, performance management, retention and compensation.
- Administer HR programs and procedures to strengthen employee engagement across the Firm.
- Coach and mentor the HR Generalist, Recruiting Coordinator, and Recruiting Assistant to foster professional growth.
- Lead recruitment for all Executive level positions and oversee Staff Recruitment.
- Oversee market analysis for Staff and Executive positions during recruitment and annual review cycles to ensure equity and consistency in compensation strategy.
- Partner with Managers to identify opportunities for internal mobility and leverage existing talent within departments.
- Promote a culture of transparency and two-way feedback at all levels.
- Provide coaching and counseling in performance management and conflict resolution.
- Partner with Co-HR manager to address employee relations matters and support consistent application of policies, handling corresponding documentation and escalating high level matters to the CHRO as necessary
- Lead internal investigations in partnership with the CHRO to mitigate risk to the firm.
- Use data from 90-day reviews and exit interviews to prepare trend analyses and recommend strategic action plans for department heads.
- Oversee annual salary surveys and compensation analyses for Exempt and Non-Exempt positions, providing guidance to HR Generalist as needed.
- Provide timely support to attorneys and employees on general HR inquiries.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR initiatives, processes, and best practices.
- Administer compensation and performance evaluation processes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills & Competencies:
- Demonstrated success in a mid to large size professional services organization
- Law Firm Human Resources Management a plus
- Human Resources Certification Preferred

Qualifications & Required Experience:
(Formal training, education, certifications and professional experience)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Organizational Psychology or the equivalent in work experience preferred
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a professional services environment, law firm preferred.
- Position also requires the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
