Job Title: Cash Receipt Specialist / Trust Specialist

Location: ATLANTA GA 30308

Salary/Payrate: $60K-$80K annually

Work Environment:  Hybrid (2 of days WFH AFTER INITIAL 90 DAY RAMP UP PERIOD)

Term: Permanent / Fulltime

The Cash Receipts from Trust Specialist is responsible for the prompt and accurate application of payments for fees and disbursements to client accounts. This role handles transactions /Escrow ensuring transactions are carried out in a timely and efficient manner.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Daily data entry and application of client payments received via firm lockbox, check/cash, wire/ACH.
  • Communicate with attorneys and legal support staff concerning proper application of payments. 
  • Provide client historical payment information as requested.
  • Conduct daily cash deposit reconciliation.
  • Prepare daily cash balance report for distribution to management.
  • Responsible for the application of on account funds to accounts receivable as requested.
  • Work closely with collection and billing staff ensuring correct application of client payments.
  • Handle all domestic escrow/trust transactions including deposits, producing checks and transferring funds via wire/ACH.
  • Maintain several investment escrow accounts on behalf of clients.
  • Reconcile several escrow monthly bank statements.
  • Perform monthly analysis of investments funds.
  • Process accounts receivable write-off requests from billing attorneys.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by Cash Receipts Supervisor or other leadership.

  • Must possess excellent communication skills and can clearly communicate in both written and oral form with professionals and clients regarding client accounting issues.
  • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess outstanding customer/client service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and balance multiple competing priorities.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and 10 Key.





Education and/or Experience: 

College degree and experience in a law firm or professional services environment is preferred.
