Our client is seeking two mid-level attorneys with 3-6 years of experience to join our team in the Class Action, Wage, and Hour Practice Group. The ideal candidates will possess strong writing skills, a deep understanding of wage and hour law, and experience handling complex class action cases. You will have the opportunity to work on significant and impactful cases, with the potential for substantial client interaction and career advancement.
Responsibilities:
- Draft and revise legal documents, including motions, briefs, and discovery responses.
- Represent clients in court appearances, depositions, and hearings.
- Participate in strategy development for class action and wage and hour cases.
- Work closely with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide client updates.
- Manage discovery, including depositions, document production, and expert witness preparation.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior associates and support staff.
- Keep clients informed and engaged through clear, effective communication.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- 3-6 years of experience in class action, wage, and hour law, or related fields.
- Strong legal research and writing skills, with the ability to draft clear and persuasive motions and briefs.
- Experience in taking depositions and representing clients in court appearances.
- Ability to manage a case load, work independently, and collaborate effectively with a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Admission to the California State Bar
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in class action litigation and wage and hour disputes is highly desirable.
- Strong research and writing skills and experience.
- Knowledge of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and other relevant federal and state wage and hour laws.
- Experience working with expert witnesses and complex discovery issues.
