Director, HCP Marketing

The Director of HCP Marketing will have a blend of accountabilities, including strategic ownership for one or more indications for Arcutis' dermatology products, and execution across key brand initiatives. This role is currently scoped to drive growth of our foam for seborrheic dermatitis and to increase awareness of foam/cream formulations for plaque psoriasis. This person will work to deliver improved awareness of key messages, increase intent to prescribe and grow market share for appropriate patient types. This also includes gaining internal alignment on integrated initiatives and effectively coordinating across multiple internal stakeholders and a multi-vendor external environment. This person will need to be able to move from insight to action, to identify KPI's for success, and to measure and adjust plan as needed. This role will also need to flex to support the team as needed, picking up jobs that cross multiple indications as needed.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead for seborrheic dermatitis indication — responsible for evolving strategy to deliver growth and customer satisfaction. Includes brand assessment across insights and analytics, identification of aligned strategies and action plans, and delivering a multichannel HCP plan that increases Arcutis' dermatology products market share in seborrheic dermatitis. Over time, indication accountabilities could shift, so this individual may be called on to support other indications, such as plaque psoriasis or atopic dermatitis.
  • Owns HCP strategy across channels; shapes field experience; influences sales leadership. Accountable for delivery of associated campaigns. Expected to act as a leader in the organization, demonstrating a positive attitude and taking initiative to drive impactful change.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, medical, field sales, training and access teams to develop tactical/logistical plans and timelines, drive implementation of all phases of the plan to ensure programs are successful and meet objectives. Effectively collaborate with marketing workstreams (P2P/MCM) to ensure message consistency and synergies across teams.
  • Build strategy for growth and associated tactical plans, executing high-impact creative campaigns and compelling content, and delivering with a high-impact channel plan.
  • Manage agencies in successfully developing compelling creative and content, gaining approval for individual tactics and collateral, and delivering campaigns in market. Partner with the insights team to continually assess effectiveness and refine approach as needed. Ensure high-quality services from vendors, including compliance with company and industry policies, practices and regulations.
  • Effectively collaborating with HCP MCM team and P2P team to ensure message consistency and synergies across teams.
  • Build KPIs and inform on effectiveness via shared metrics/dashboards, and adjust plan as needed.
  • Following reasonable onboarding time, this individual must be able to display a strong marketing voice, with a clear POV on what is needed to grow the brand.
  • Must be able to command respect of sales leaders, effectively articulating strategy and rationale, and driving consistent delivery in the field.
  • Shepherd special projects/initiatives as needed, based on changing brand needs & bandwidth.
  • Demonstrate Arcutis values and adhere to corporate guidelines.
  • Manage a budget and manage vendor financial accountabilities (SOWs, POs, Invoices).
  • Ability to travel ~20–30% of time.

Education, Licenses & Experience

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a business or scientific discipline
  • Requires proven experience in a marketing role (8+ years required), including 2+ years in a director role (preferred)
  • Demonstrated success developing high-impact strategic and tactical plans and budgets for one or more brand indications, including identifying strategic imperatives, aligning prioritized activity plans across workstreams, and creating compelling campaigns with differentiated messaging across personal and nonpersonal channels.
  • Proven expertise in shepherding insights projects to completion, developing learning objectives and stimuli (e.g. quant/qual/ATUs/message testing via TMPs/concept testing).
  • Experience in marketing dermatological topical products is a strong plus.

  • Possess a curiosity and openness to new insight methodologies and a drive to expand the toolkit to better serve the business
  • Detail oriented and highly organized with strong project management skills — often managing multiple pressing priorities and working to challenging and changing deadlines
  • Excellent tactical execution skills and strategic thinking capabilities (able to build strategies, make strategic choices within a finite budget, and execute to plans).
  • Ability to identify insight gaps, to spearhead insights projects in collaboration with market research lead and synthesize insights to make high-quality decisions.
