Senior Automation Controls Engineer

Position Summary

The Senior Automation Controls Engineer is responsible for designing, programming, implementing, and supporting automation and control systems for manufacturing operations. This role works closely with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to improve equipment performance, efficiency, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and automation control systems.
• Support the installation, commissioning, and startup of automated equipment.
• Develop and maintain control system documentation and standards.
• Diagnose and resolve controls-related equipment issues.
• Lead automation improvement projects to increase productivity and reduce downtime.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing objectives.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.



Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of automation and controls engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with PLC programming, HMI development, and industrial automation systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and project management abilities.
