A growing, privately held industrial manufacturing company is seeking a Strategic Sourcer to support its supply chain and procurement initiatives. This role is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and developing supplier relationships to ensure cost efficiency, quality standards, and on-time delivery across critical components and materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and qualify new suppliers aligned with company quality, cost, and delivery requirements
- Conduct market research and supplier benchmarking to support strategic sourcing decisions
- Lead RFQ/RFP processes and analyze bids to optimize total cost of ownership
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with domestic and international suppliers
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, quality, and finance teams
- Support supplier performance management and continuous improvement initiatives
- Mitigate supply chain risk through diversification and contingency planning
- Maintain accurate supplier data and sourcing documentation
Qualifications:
- 3–7+ years of sourcing, procurement, or supply chain experience within manufacturing
- Experience sourcing machined components, castings, electrical/mechanical assemblies, or industrial materials preferred
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier relationship management skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred
