Director of Operations

Location: Kansas City, MO | On-site

A consumer products company is seeking a Director of Operations to lead its distribution center. This leader will oversee daily warehouse performance, develop the management team, and improve the speed, accuracy, safety, and cost of operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead warehouse operations, staffing, inventory control, and facility performance.
• Own the site’s operating budget and use performance metrics to guide decisions.
• Improve order accuracy, pick rates, overtime, damage rates, and safety outcomes.
• Build effective workflows and evaluate technology that can improve warehousing and logistics.
• Hire, coach, and develop managers while maintaining a safe, accountable workplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• 15 or more years of relevant operations experience, including warehouse leadership.
• Experience with ERP and/or warehouse management systems.
• Strong financial judgment, analytical skills, and a record of leading operational improvements.
