Director of Operations


Location: Tulsa, OK

Our client, a growing industrial manufacturing organization, is seeking a Director of Operations to lead and optimize day-to-day operations across its manufacturing environment. This individual will be responsible for driving operational performance, developing teams, improving processes, and ensuring the organization is positioned to support continued growth.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on operations leader who is comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment and can balance strategic priorities with day-to-day execution.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day manufacturing and operational activities
  • Drive improvements across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity
  • Develop and lead operations teams while building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows, capacity, and overall operational efficiency
  • Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to support business objectives and growth initiatives
  • Establish and monitor key operating metrics and translate performance data into actionable improvements
  • Support workforce planning, resource allocation, and operational budgeting
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and help standardize best practices across the organization


Ideal Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive operations or manufacturing leadership experience
  • Experience leading teams in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Strong background in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
  • Demonstrated ability to improve performance and lead through growth or organizational change
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience within a private equity-backed or high-growth organization is a plus
