Position Overview

A growing health and wellness organization is seeking a Director of Social Media & Customer Engagement to lead the strategy, development, and execution of social media and digital customer engagement initiatives.

This leader will be responsible for strengthening the relationship between the brand and its customers, developing compelling content strategies, building online communities, and using customer insights to improve engagement across digital channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an integrated social media and customer engagement strategy.
• Lead content strategy across relevant social and digital platforms.
• Build and strengthen online communities while increasing meaningful customer engagement.
• Develop campaigns that support brand awareness, customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty.
• Partner with brand, creative, digital, e-commerce, and other marketing teams on integrated initiatives.
• Monitor customer sentiment and identify emerging trends and opportunities.
• Establish KPIs and analyze performance to continually improve engagement strategies.
• Oversee community management and customer-facing social communications.
• Manage agency and external partner relationships as appropriate.
• Stay current on emerging platforms, consumer behaviors, and digital marketing trends.
• Lead and develop internal team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in social media, digital marketing, brand engagement, or related areas.
• Experience leading social strategy for a consumer-facing brand.
• Strong understanding of social platforms, content strategy, community management, and digital analytics.
• Demonstrated ability to translate customer insights into actionable marketing strategies.
• Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience within health and wellness, consumer products, beauty, nutrition, or a related industry preferred.
• Experience working within a growing or private equity-backed organization is a plus.
