Position Summary

The Cost Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing cost accounting activities, inventory valuation, and financial reporting related to manufacturing operations. This role partners with operations and finance leadership to analyze costs, improve profitability, and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all cost accounting functions, including product costing and inventory valuation.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and inventory transactions.
• Prepare and review monthly cost reports and financial analyses.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close activities.
• Partner with operations to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting controls.
• Lead and develop the cost accounting team, as applicable.



Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, inventory accounting, and standard costing.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.
