Our leading client is looking for a Senior Estimator. You will play a pivotal role in the bidding process, ensuring the accuracy and competitiveness of proposals for asphalt and sitework projects. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with a solid background in construction estimating and a strong grasp of industry-specific software and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and site conditions to accurately determine project scope.
• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for asphalt and sitework projects, encompassing materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
• Collaborate closely with project management and operations teams to align estimates with project requirements and objectives.
• Review bid documents and contracts to identify discrepancies and mitigate potential issues.
• Develop competitive pricing strategies by assessing project risks and opportunities.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, pricing dynamics, and regulatory changes to ensure the competitiveness and accuracy of estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate proposals from suppliers and subcontractors to optimize cost-effectiveness.
• Timely preparation and submission of completed bids, adhering to company policies and industry standards.
• Actively participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as necessary.
• Undertake additional tasks and assignments as delegated by management to meet project deadlines or business needs.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in construction estimating, with a proven track record of success.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
• Proficiency in estimating software, including Bid to Win and AGTEK, is essential.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are required.
• Familiarity with South Carolina Department of Transportation specifications and regulations is advantageous.
