This company is on the verge of explosive growth and has multiple plants near the Gulf Coast. They have no long term debt and are continuously upgrading their plants and modernizing. This plant is the flagship for the company and supplies over 2,000 locations with ready to eat and frozen foods. Their plants run 24 x5 AND THEY DO NOT WORK WEEKENDS !

As the maintenance manager you will be responsible for a team of 12- 15 techs and supervisors, and the maintenance budget.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of the plant maintenance activities and the department including management of the maintenance team -
  • Manages preventative, predictive and all PM activities and scheduling
  • Management of parts inventory, the plant CMMS system, preventative maintenance planning and activities and the maintenance budget.
  • Plans maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.
  • Analyzes maintenance organizational effectiveness and modifies plans and programs to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.



  • Preferred bachelor’s degree - but will consider experience as a substitute
  • 8 years + in maintenance management in a food, dairy,beverage, meat, baking, poultry or snack foods facility
  • Proven ability to evaluate employee skills, design training programs and elevate a maintenance staff and hold people accountable for performance.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Systems.
  • Ability to coach, train and develop employees.
  • Lean, Six Sigma methodologies and continuous improvement experience.
