Key Restaurant General Manager Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership – Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing FOH and BOH staff, fostering a collaborative hotel–restaurant culture.
  • Comprehensive F&B Oversight – Direct daily bistro service along with in-room dining and banquet execution, ensuring seamless coordination across all outlets.
  • Financial Stewardship – Optimize labor, COGS, and operating expenses while meeting or exceeding revenue and profitability targets.
  • Guest Experience – Uphold elevated service standards that delight hotel guests, event clients, and local patrons across all dayparts.
  • Operational Excellence – Audit and refine SOPs, safety protocols, and service sequences to drive continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership – Collaborate closely with hotel leadership, culinary teams, and corporate stakeholders to enhance profitability and brand reputation.


Ideal Restaurant General Manager Candidate Profile

  • 3+ years as Restaurant General Manager of a high-volume, full-service hotel restaurant (annual revenue of $7 M+ preferred).
  • Demonstrated success overseeing in-room dining and banquet/meeting services in addition to restaurant operations.
  • Proven ability to improve guest satisfaction, labor efficiency, and cost controls.
  • Advanced financial acumen—budgeting, forecasting, KPI analysis.
  • Skilled at cultivating inclusive, high-performance teams and maintaining a culture of accountability.
  • Genuine passion for hospitality and commitment to operational excellence.
