Virginia Beach, VA | Full-Time | $65,000–$85,000 + Bonus | Medical • Dental • Vision • PTO
A respected, high-volume restaurant group has officially opened its newest upscale-casual concept in Virginia Beach. We’re hiring an Assistant General Manager who can partner with the GM to stabilize early operations, sharpen systems, and build a high-performing team in a 250-seat restaurant.
Why you’ll like this role
- Immediate impact – help tighten execution, training, and standards as the restaurant ramps.
- Volume + hospitality polish – guest-driven culture with strong operational support.
- Growth path – real runway to General Manager for top performers.
What you’ll do
- Coach and develop FOH/BOH hourly teams; reinforce accountability and culture.
- Run high-volume floor shifts, maintain brand standards, and troubleshoot in real time.
- Support scheduling and daily labor management; understand the “why” behind the numbers.
- Track comps, voids, and guest recovery; lead service recovery with confidence and care.
- Support inventory, ordering, and cost controls (COGS, weekly inventory routines).
- Serve as acting GM when needed and help keep communication tight across the leadership team.
What you bring
- 2+ years as an AGM (or strong senior manager ready for AGM) in a $5M+ full-service restaurant.
- Strong floor leadership in high-volume (you’re calm when it’s busy).
- Comfort with scheduling, labor, and basic P&L rhythms (HotSchedules / R365 a plus).
- Training mindset: you coach clearly, set expectations, and follow up.
Floor Manager (FOH) – Newly Opened Restaurant
Virginia Beach, VA | Full-Time | $55,000–$65,000 + Bonus | Medical • Dental • Vision • PTO
Join the leadership team for a 250-seat, design-forward restaurant that recently opened in Virginia Beach. We’re looking for a service-obsessed FOH Floor Manager who can lead busy shifts, enforce standards, and develop talent while the operation continues to ramp.
The role in a nutshell
- Lead pre-shifts, set the pace, and keep service tight through 3+ turns.
- Manage sections, floor flow, and table touches; stay present and visible on the floor.
- Coach servers, bartenders, and hosts on steps of service, product knowledge, and hospitality.
- Handle guest recovery with urgency, empathy, and ownership.
- Oversee side work, cleanliness, shift notes, and closing paperwork; reconcile comps/voids.
- Support hiring, training, and ongoing team development.
Who fits
- 1–2+ years in a salaried FOH leadership role (upscale casual or fine dining preferred).
- High-volume comfort—250+ covers/night feels normal.
- Solid wine/cocktail fundamentals and a sharp eye for detail.
- You lead from the floor, not the office—and you like teaching.
