Virginia Beach, VA $65,000 – $80,000 + Bonus | Full Benefits | Relocation Assistance

The Opportunity

Following a successful grand opening, our respected restaurant group is looking for a high-energy Assistant General Manager to join the leadership team in Virginia Beach. This isn't just a "maintenance" role—we are looking for a builder who wants to help transition a 250-seat, high-volume operation from its "newly opened" phase into a polished, market-leading institution.

If you thrive in a $5M+ environment where hospitality polish meets high-octane energy, this is your next step toward a General Manager role.

Why Join This Team?

  • Stabilize & Scale: Be the driving force behind sharpening our systems, training protocols, and service standards.
  • The Culture: A guest-first, people-centric group that provides the autonomy of an independent restaurant with the back-end support of a professional group.
  • Career Trajectory: We prioritize internal promotion; we are looking for our next generation of General Managers.
  • Relocation Support: We are ready to help the right talent move to the Virginia Beach area.

The Role (Key Responsibilities)

  • Floor Leadership: Lead the charge during high-volume shifts, ensuring seamless guest recovery and brand-standard execution.
  • Team Development: Direct coaching of FOH/BOH teams to foster a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage labor targets, scheduling, and weekly inventory routines (COGS).
  • Financial Literacy: Dive into the P&L, managing comps and voids while understanding the "why" behind the numbers.
  • Systems Management: Utilize tools like HotSchedules and R365 to maintain operational efficiency.

What You Bring

  • Experience: 2+ years of management experience in a $5M+ full-service, high-volume setting.
  • Composure: You are the "calm in the storm" who can navigate a 250-seat floor with ease.
  • Business Acumen: Comfortable with labor management, cost controls, and basic P&L rhythms.
  • Leadership Style: You lead by example and have a passion for training and developing hourly talent.
