We’re hiring a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to help scale backend systems and ensure platform reliability at a global level.

About the Role

You’ll help design and build the infrastructure behind a mission-critical medical AI platform. You’ll have significant ownership over backend systems—ranging from service reliability and system performance to infrastructure security and data platforms that handle sensitive medical information at scale.

You’ll collaborate closely with engineering leadership and cross-functional partners to translate real-world healthcare needs into elegant, scalable solutions. This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role in a focused, fast-paced startup environment.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and operate high-scale backend services and APIs
• Architect cloud-native infrastructure and backend services
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines
• Optimize and manage core systems: databases, caches, load balancers
• Own and improve production infrastructure, emphasizing performance, reliability, and uptime
• Implement robust observability, alerting, and incident response processes
• Collaborate with ML engineers, product managers, and designers to define and deliver platform needs
• Participate in light, daylight-only on-call rotation (about one week/month)

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in a meaningful infrastructure role at a growth-stage (Series B+) startup or large-scale tech company
• Direct experience building and operating production systems at scale, including infrastructure handling millions of operations and high concurrency
• High proficiency in building and operating backend services, and in architecting cloud-native systems
• High proficiency with Terraform or similar Infrastructure-as-Code tooling
• Moderate experience with DevOps tools, including Docker and Python/JavaScript packaging
• Experience with Python and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience with Django, Django REST Framework, and Postgres is a plus
• Exposure to MLOps and LLMOps environments is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a bias for ownership in startup environments
