We're looking for a Product Development Engineer to join a talented and diverse technical team in the Boston area. This role will focus on developing novel coatings from lab-to-scale to address customer needs. 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop novel coating platforms, test metrics, and design experiments by working in a lab-based environment with minimal day-to-day guidance.
• Develop hypotheses and conduct experiments to improve understanding and performance of coating technology by coordinating with various team members.
• Communicate technical advances internally with other members of the company and interact with external vendors, independent testing laboratories, and customers to explain and troubleshoot application of the technology.
• Support scaling of coating from lab or pilot scale to a manufacturing environment.
• Collaborate with sales or technical service to address customer requests.
• Expand coating portfolio by innovating on current coating technology and developing new coating platforms.

BACKGROUND PROFILE:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or associated technical field is required.
• Fluency in Mandarin, Spanish, or German preferred but not required.
• Some international and domestic travel required.
