Market Strategy Manager-Flexible Packaging

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support Sales/Marketing in new technologies / projects / products through deep understanding of product / market / technology / customer.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing / Sales / KAM and Business Development to steer activities.
  • Support identifying future market trends, developments/product/service expectations and translating them into business growth opportunities.
  • Analyze and build different future scenarios to create new paths of business incl. timing and investment planning.
  • Develop and support the strategy map / customer roadmaps and steer profitable growth globally / regionally / locally.
  • Execute and customize strategies for product / technology positioning and defines training and promotional needs with Marketing.
  • Explore and support acquisition and divestment projects.
  • Build relevant customer / market relationships and attend and support relevant events, exhibitions, trade fairs.
  • Perform cross-functional coordination of processes and departments, initiate and support innovation projects.
  • Develop and implement business analysis instruments, provide market and competitive intelligence.
  • Aggregate product / technology / application / business model needs and communicate these to relevant key interfaces.
  • Ensure that BDMs, Sales, KAM have the right business / market / customer transparency to prioritize activities accordingly.


BACKGROUND PROFILE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Business Administration or Application Engineering is preferred
  • 10 years’ minimum of relevant work experience in the flexible packaging industry. 
  • Proven Expertise in the flexible packaging industry, specializing in coatings or plastic film manufacturing
  • The ability to interpret market data, identifying trends and making informed business decisions.
  • Technical aptitude and a strong product knowledge base.
  • Excellent networking skills that will allow for building and maintaining relationships with key industry stakeholders.
  • Proficient oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel 30-50% of the time including travel to both Mexico and Canada
