Vice President, Information Technology

Remote – United States

Are you a forward-thinking technology leader with a passion for modernization, automation, and AI transformation? One of Blackmere’s trailblazing clients is searching for a Vice President of Information Technology to lead their global IT function through a critical phase of evolution and enterprise innovation.

This is more than a traditional IT executive role—it’s an opportunity to shape how 6,000+ employees across the globe experience technology every day. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer, you’ll lead a globally distributed team of 70 to 150 professionals—with primary delivery hubs in India and core leadership based in the U.S.—and drive high-impact initiatives across infrastructure, end-user experience, enterprise applications, collaboration platforms, identity and access management, and global service delivery.

This role sits at the intersection of leadership transition, enterprise automation, and an AI-first vision. The foundation is strong—now it’s your time to stabilize, scale, and bring cohesion to a rapidly evolving function.

What You’ll Do:

  • Stabilize and inspire a high-performing global IT organization through a leadership transition—earning trust and delivering results from day one.
  • Define and execute a strategic roadmap that balances operational reliability with modernization and enterprise scalability.
  • Drive enterprise AI and automation adoption, including the rollout and governance of tools like ChatGPT Enterprise, Glean (federated search), and agent-based workflows through n8n.
  • Lead global IT operations across infrastructure, service desk, identity and access management (Okta), client engineering, collaboration systems (O365, Slack, Zoom), and corporate platforms (Atlassian, ServiceNow, Workday).
  • Act as the trusted IT lead for M&A transactions, managing due diligence, identity integration, and post-close execution across global acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Deliver on near-term initiatives such as mobile device management rollout, a unified “single front door” employee experience, and expanded Glean and n8n deployments.
  • Strengthen data governance and compliance in support of IPO readiness, SOX alignment, and long-term architectural maturity.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Security, People, and Engineering teams to translate business goals into scalable, secure solutions.

What You Bring:

  • 15+ years of progressive IT leadership, including global team oversight and executive stakeholder engagement.
  • Strategic and operational depth across infrastructure, identity, enterprise applications, endpoint management, and collaboration ecosystems.
  • Proven ability to lead modernization, AI adoption, and automation initiatives at scale, especially in complex or high-growth environments.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise platforms like Okta, ServiceNow, Atlassian, Zoom, O365, Workday, and AWS.
  • Strong working knowledge of IT security, compliance frameworks, and access governance in support of IPO and audit readiness.
  • Experience leading across globally distributed teams, with a strong ability to collaborate across cultures and time zones—even as a U.S.-based leader.
  • Pragmatic leadership style: calm under pressure, strong in ambiguity, and able to bring structure without slowing down innovation.
  • Experience leading IT through M&A integration and due diligence is highly valued.

What’s In It For You:

This is your chance to drive meaningful change at the enterprise level in a company committed to innovation, compliance, and global impact. You’ll lead a capable, loyal team through a high-trust transformation and help set the standard for how AI, automation, and world-class technology can power business excellence. This role offers significant visibility, influence, and the opportunity to shape the future of corporate IT in a truly AI-first environment.

Special Note:

If you’re a narrowly focused technical expert without strategic range, or if you haven’t led global teams in high-growth or matrixed environments, this may not be the right fit. This team needs a strategic operator who can zoom out, lead across boundaries, and execute at scale.
