This role exists to close that gap.


You’ll report directly to the CIO and take ownership of building an enterprise AI transformation function from the ground up - one that drives measurable impact across revenue, efficiency, and customer experience. This is not only a “vision-setting” role. It’s a build-and-deliver mandate with visibility at the highest levels of the company.


Why This Role Is Different

This is not a greenfield experiment. We have funding, urgency and executive commitment at the CEO level.


But today:

  • AI efforts are fragmented and overly reliant on external consultants
  • Impact is inconsistent and difficult to measure
  • There’s no unified operating model or governance
  • Adoption varies widely across the business

The expectation is clear: build the function, operationalize AI, and deliver measurable outcomes - fast.

What You’ll Own


Build the Machine

Stand up and scale an enterprise AI Center of Excellence. Transition from a contractor-heavy model to a durable, high-performing internal team. Shape the structure, talent, and capabilities needed to deliver at scale.


Define How AI Works

Create the operating model that makes AI repeatable: intake, prioritization, governance, delivery, and measurement. Bring consistency to how ideas become production-grade solutions.


Deliver Real Outcomes

Drive initiatives that move the business:

  • Revenue retention (GRR / NRR)
  • Cost efficiency and EBITDA
  • Cycle time reduction and productivity gains
  • Customer experience improvements (CSAT, NPS)

Tie every initiative to measurable impact- and prove it.


Scale Adoption Across the Enterprise

Move AI from isolated pilots into embedded workflows across Sales, Customer Experience, Finance, Product, and Operations. This isn’t about experimentation - it’s about changing how work gets done.


Build the Foundation

Standardize platforms, tools, and architecture to enable scalable AI:

  • Copilots and agentic workflows
  • End-to-end process automation (quote-to-cash, support, onboarding, renewals)
  • AI-driven decisioning embedded in systems and products


Own Governance & Risk

Establish responsible AI practices across privacy, security, compliance, and model governance - creating confidence at the executive and board level.


Lead Change at Scale

Drive adoption through influence, enablement, and communication. Equip teams with the tools - and expectations - to leverage AI effectively.


What Success Looks Like

Within your first 6–12 months:

  • A fully operational AI function with a scaled internal team
  • A clear, functioning intake-to-delivery model
  • Measurable progress toward large-scale automation goals
  • Early wins across multiple business functions
  • Executive-level reporting that clearly shows business impact

Within 12–24 months:

  • AI embedded across all major workflows and functions
  • Consistent adoption across the organization
  • Tangible improvements in revenue, efficiency, and customer outcomes
  • Recognition as an AI-forward, execution-driven organization


Who You Are

You’ve done this before - and not just in theory.

You are an operator first, strategist second. You don’t stop at vision - you build the system, drive adoption, and deliver results.


You likely bring:

  • 15+ years in technology, product, or data, with significant leadership experience
  • A track record of delivering AI and automation outcomes at enterprise scale
  • Deep expertise in:
  • Generative AI (LLMs, agents, orchestration, RAG)
  • Workflow automation and integration platforms
  • Enterprise architecture and data ecosystems
  • Experience driving transformation across multiple business functions
  • Strong executive presence - you can influence and challenge C-level stakeholders
  • A bias for execution and accountability tied to measurable business outcomes


You know how to move from:

  • Pilot → Production
  • Fragmentation → Standardization
  • Experimentation → Enterprise capability

And you know how to make transformation stick.
