Machine Learning Engineer (San Francisco On-Site) - AI Search Frontier

Key Responsibilities:

• Train a 70B parameter version of the current model.
• Build and refine an RLAIF (Reinforcement Learning from AI Feedback) pipeline for search.
• Innovate and experiment with new architectures for search, potentially dreaming up novel solutions that outperform current models.
• Work with large-scale datasets and advance the team's machine-learning capabilities.

Tech Stack:

• Rust, C, C++, Go, Python, CUDA

Our Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 2-15 years of experience (enthusiasm and startup orientation are more important than years of experience).
• Graduate-level ML experience or exceptionally strong undergraduate-level background.
• Ability to code transformers from scratch in PyTorch.
• Comfortable creating large-scale datasets and solving complex problems in the AI space.
• A deep understanding of the importance of finding and organizing high-quality knowledge.
• Experience working in startups is highly valued, while long stints in big tech might indicate a less startup-focused mindset.

Salary & Benefits:

• Base salary: $130k - $200k
• Equity: To be determined at the offer stage
• Visa sponsorship available (e.g., STEM OPT, OPT, H1B, O1, E3)
• Full-time, W-2 role based in San Francisco
• On-site work policy: In-person
