Sage Intacct Solutions Architect

Hybrid - Preferred Locations:

Charlotte, NC | Greenville, SC | Columbia, SC | Charleston, SC | Raleigh, NC | Nashville, TN | Chattanooga, TN | Open to Remote in Select States

Are you a Sage Intacct expert who thrives at the intersection of accounting, technology, and client support? Do you love being the go-to person for solving financial system challenges? Are you excited about building something from the ground up—not just implementing software but also creating processes, training teams, and optimizing day-to-day use?

If so, this Accounting Advisory Software Solutions Senior role with one of Blackmere’s clients is a game-changing opportunity to take ownership, drive innovation, and make a direct impact on both clients and internal teams.

Why This Role is Different

Most Sage Intacct roles focus purely on implementation or ongoing support—this role is both. You will:

  • Help clients optimize and manage their accounting in Sage Intacct (not just migrate to it).
  • Serve as an internal expert and trainer for the team, helping them solve real-time Sage challenges.
  • Develop processes, SOPs, and best practices from scratch—nothing is built yet, and you’ll take the lead.
  • Work with clients directly—but also be a resource for internal teams who need help navigating Sage.
  • Have the opportunity to grow into a leadership role as the function expands.

If you love solving problems, finding workarounds, and making Sage Intacct work for different business models, this role is for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Act as the go-to Sage Intacct expert for clients and internal teams, helping with everything from bank integrations and payroll to reporting and journal entries.
  • Train and support internal accounting teams as they transition to and work within Sage Intacct.
  • Develop standardized processes, SOPs, and templates to streamline future implementations and ongoing client support.
  • Help with troubleshooting and issue resolution, finding creative workarounds when Sage Intacct doesn’t have an obvious solution.
  • Work directly with clients to ensure smooth month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting in Sage.
  • Assist with special projects, including chart of accounts conversions, report-building, and integrations.
  • Participate in the go-to-market process, providing insights and demos (but not selling).

What You’ll Bring to the Table

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in Sage Intacct, with a deep understanding of day-to-day accounting functions (not just implementation).
  • Experience in training and mentoring teams, ensuring they can confidently use Sage Intacct.
  • Strong problem-solving skills—you know the shortcuts and workarounds when Sage doesn’t quite do what’s needed.
  • Certified Sage Intacct Accounting Specialist (or equivalent experience).
  • Background in Client Advisory Services (CAS) or multi-entity accounting is highly preferred.
  • Experience creating custom reports, dashboards, and workflows in Sage Intacct.
  • Excellent communication skills—technical but client-friendly (no condescending self-appointed experts here).
  • A true self-starter—you’ll need to build the function from scratch.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, troubleshoot system issues, and optimize processes.

Bonus points if you have experience with QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Yardi, or other cloud-based accounting platforms!
