We are seeking an excellent Electrical QA/QC Engineer for our client.
The person in this role will get to work with a globally renowned organization and be pivotal in ensuring the quality and reliability of our client’s industrial electrical systems. Your expertise in Electrical Distribution, switchgear maintenance, and familiarity with motor controls will be invaluable.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough quality assurance and quality control inspections of electrical systems and components.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify and address QA/QC issues throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform inspections, tests, and audits to verify product quality and performance.
- Identify and document non-conformities and work with the team to implement corrective actions.
- Maintain comprehensive records of QA/QC activities and results.
- Assist in the development and improvement of QA/QC processes and procedures.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams and subcontractors.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications
- Over a decade of experience within the industrial electrical field.
- Proficient in Electrical Distribution systems, including those up to 5KV.
- Well-versed in the operation, upkeep, and servicing of medium and low-voltage switchgear, along with associated circuit protection devices.
- Possesses knowledge of power distribution and its corresponding codes and regulations.
- Familiar with the installation of raceways, junction boxes, and cable trays, in accordance with relevant codes and standards.
- Experienced in motor controls and related protective equipment, including Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
- Competent in all lighting and lighting control aspects, with an appreciation for Building Management systems and their interfaces (a plus).
- Knowledgeable about industrial transformer sizing, application, and maintenance, encompassing both Dy-type and oil-filled transformers.
- Proficient in reading and comprehending electrical drawings.
- Conducts field inspections for both repair work and new installations.
- Demonstrates above-average troubleshooting skills and applies a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
- Develops electrical assurance and commissioning plans.
- Capable of managing multiple complex ideas and priorities, resolving conflicts, and handling opposition in a constructive and professional manner.
- Ensures adherence to the Quality Control Plan, including acquiring pertinent documentation, verifying procedures and equipment for testing and inspections, and overseeing document management for certifying tests and inspections.
- Guarantees the accurate execution of approved Inspection Test Plans.

- *This 40-hour-per-week 1099 contract consultant role is not eligible for benefits. It is based in Katy, TX. The target salary range for this position is from $55 to $110 per hour.
