ISC’s team of Executive Recruiters is partnering with an established and growing Instrumentation & Controls Services company to identify an I&C Technician.   


The Instrumentation & Controls (I/C) Technician is responsible for installing, calibrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting industrial instrumentation and control systems to support safe, precise, and reliable process operations.

I&C Tech Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of instrumentation and controls experience, including calibration, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills; experience with control valves and system testing
  • Ability to read P&IDs and schematics; working knowledge of PLC, DCS, SCADA, RTU, and VFD systems
  • Experience with compliance, documentation, and supporting startups, outages, and emergency response
  • Strong communication skills, Microsoft Office proficiency, and ability to maintain tools and equipment
  • Willing to travel 90–100% and work in industrial environments; must pass a drug test and obtain a passport/TWIC card
  • Collaborative, professional, independent, self-driven, motivated, proactive
  • Willing to learn & teach; knows how to search for answers or will ask
  • Certifications and/or Training a plus

I&C Tech Responsibilities:

  • Install, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems, including loop checks, testing, diagnostics, and control valve support
  • Read and interpret P&IDs, schematics, and technical documentation; support PLC, DCS, SCADA, RTU, and VFD systems
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with safety and regulatory standards
  • Support commissioning, startups, outages, and emergency response while maintaining tools, equipment, and professional communication with customers and teams
