Industrial Outside Sales Representative

South Central Texas Territory

 

ISC’s team of Sales Recruiters is partnering with a thriving and well-established organization in the Texas area seeking an Industrial Outside Sales Representative to develop and expand business across the South Texas market. This role offers the opportunity to build a territory with strong demand, supported by established products, technical expertise, and a performance-driven sales structure.


This role is responsible for driving new business development and managing existing accounts within key industrial sectors. The position focuses on consultative, solution-based sales, working closely with customers to identify operational challenges and deliver engineered solutions that improve asset reliability and performance.

Industrial Outside Sales Representative - Qualifications:

·        3+ years minimum B2B Industrial Sales experience with a successful track record of success in New Business Development as well as Account Management.

·        Estimated, 3 days on existing/old clients 60% and 2 days on prospecting/new business 40%

·        Specific industry experience required within one of the following industrial environments: refineries, chemical plants, marine, or power facilities (industrial services, coatings, MRO, maintenance, reliability, or related fields)

·        Local Geographic Market experience – South Texas Territory

·        Mechanically inclined - Technical knowledge of products, coatings, high temperatures, & service conditions

·        Familiarity with engineering or inspection-driven sales environments

·        Very comfortable utilizing CRM Management – (Zoho)

·        Proficiency in Microsoft applications

·        Good Driving Record

·        Must be eligible to get a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) which is a security identification card issued by the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

·        Must be able to pass full background check

·        DISA Testing - drug screen – including THC which is prohibited

·        Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in an industrial environment, including climbing ladders and accessing areas where personal protective equipment (e.g., hard hats) is required.


Industrial Outside Sales Representative – our client offers:

·        Competitive base salary $70k-$100k DOE + uncapped commission

·        Average 1st year – total comp $100k+ ($15-25k commissions conservatively)

·        Average 2nd – 3rd year average total comp $140-150k

Industrial Outside Sales Representative - Responsibilities:


·        Develop and grow a defined South Central Texas territory through new business acquisition and account management

·        Call on refineries, chemical plants, marine facilities, power generation sites, and industrial service providers

·        Identify customer challenges related to corrosion, leaks, erosion, and mechanical wear

·        Recommend tailored repair, coating, and asset protection solutions

·        Build relationships with engineers, maintenance teams, inspectors, and plant leadership

·        Conduct site visits, walkdowns, and technical discussions to uncover opportunities

·        Collaborate with internal technical teams to support solution development and execution

·        Maintain accurate pipeline activity and forecasting using CRM tools

·        Represent the company at site meetings and industry events
