GIS Installation & Commissioning Lead

Your field experience should count for something.

Here, it does. You’ll be the manufacturer’s face on the job site, the person the crew and the customer both rely on from the day equipment arrives until it’s energized. You run the installation, make the calls on site, and see the project through commissioning.

Decisions get made quickly, projects keep moving, and leadership stands behind the people doing the work. Some systems are still being built, so the way you do installations helps shape how the team works.

What you’ll do

• Run GIS installations at customer sites: receiving, assembly, installation, inspection, and testing
• Keep installation crews and contractors on track with drawings, procedures, and schedule. You earn their trust through what you know, not through a title.
• Carry projects through commissioning, startup, and energization alongside engineering and project teams
• Solve technical, safety, and schedule problems as they come up
• Be the customer’s go-to person on site

What you bring

• 5+ years of hands-on GIS installation experience
• Direct GIS commissioning experience
• A background as a foreman, site lead, field service engineer, or project manager who stayed close to the work
• Working knowledge of HV substations, drawings, and AC/DC schematics
• Clear, responsive communication with customers
• A degree is welcome but not required. Relevant field experience qualifies you.
