Summary:

Engineering consultant, that has demonstrated qualifications, project experience, and is an aggressive learner. Works with management and engineering staff to develop technical skillset and execute on project work.



Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with clients from the utilities and power generation sector, such as Duke, National Grid, DTE, AMP, and many others, to meet their turbine, generator, and plant engineering needs.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) investigations of failed equipment such as turbine and generator hardware.
  • Perform shop and site surveillance on the customers behalf to ensure proper manufacturing and installation of equipment.
  • Perform equipment and plant level health assessments to aid clients in making smart decisions to maintain and upgrade equipment and allocate capital smartly.
  • Be able to use Microsoft Office, FEA solvers, and CAD software.
  • Be able to complete basic engineering hand calculations. 
  • Present project results to clients, case studies at conferences, and trainings to utilities.
  • Research and understand emerging technologies to support client needs 



Education, Certifications and/or Experience Required:

  • A Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Engineering (or greater)
  • Demonstrated ability in engineering calculations and analysis
  • Critical thinker with proven ability to execute on multiple projects at once and on schedule – either working independently or in a team environment
  • Accurate and weekly time keeping
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Good level of client feedback on project execution
  • Travel as required to support projects
