Job Summary:

ENTRUST is looking for a business development professional to support Power Generation growth. The territory would be national, and this individual will be responsible for ensuring excellence in delivery of full life cycle business development activities. This includes but is not limited to building a Business Development strategy and executable plan, working with internal power generation leaders, and maintaining a pipeline of opportunities, ensuring competitive strategies, developing account management strategies to leverage service offerings, proposal development, and building relationships with ENTRUST’s current and prospective Power Generation clients.


This position will coordinate closely with other Business Development team members and the Product Line Leaders in identifying key sales targets with focus on selling engineering, consulting, and field support services for fossil, nuclear, and renewable power generation clients. The key industry focus will be on Power Generation clients with a focus on services ENTRUST provides in this industry with the opportunity to cross sell additional service offerings. New account acquisition and existing account growth will be this person’s responsibility (70% new account acquisition – 30% existing account growth). The core services represented will be for Power Generation and Renewable Energy Engineering, and Consulting Services.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide field market intelligence such as competitive information and market or industry trends
  • Facilitate meetings with internal power generation leaders and take action on customer follow up
  • Ensure existing power generation clients are aware of ENTRUST full portfolio of power plant services
  • Maintain data and manage analytics through utilization of CRM
  • Maintain and develop new business development opportunities
  • Call on existing accounts to support operations teams in mushrooming account revenues
  • Strong focus on targeting new clients to expand ENTRUST’s clientele
  • Provide service demonstrations “Lunch and Learns” as well as tradeshow attendance
  • Develop and maintain quality relationships with clients
  • Participate in preparation of responses to RFP’s
  • Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor


Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years’ experience in the Power Generation industry preferred
  • Engineering Degree preferred, Business/Sales Degree Accepted
  • Networked in the Power Generation industry with strong connections with utilities, Independent Power Producers, asset managers, operators, and investment firms throughout the United States with the potential of international clients as well
  • Ability to work independently across business functions in remote office setting
  • Collaborative approach to problem solving with an emphasis on proactive communication
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Unquestioned business and personal integrity
  • Ability and desire to travel 3 to 4 times a month (50-70% Travel) as needed
