Job Summary:


The Corrosion Engineer II is responsible for performing basic to intermediate corrosion engineering and cathodic protection design on a variety of engineering tasks with moderate to limited supervision. They perform as a member of a team on multiple small to medium sized projects with a basic to intermediate level of technical difficulty. This position receives technical guidance on new design topics that have not been experienced by the Corrosion Engineer I. This position requires self-guided learning about specialty engineering and regulation topics. The position is working a hybrid schedule but must occasionally report in to the Chicago, Kansas City or Houston office.

 

Required Qualifications:


  • Must be located in: Chicago, Houston, Kansas City, Denver, or Baltimore
  • A bachelor’s degree (BS) in engineering or a physical science from an accredited university
  • 3+ years of work experience in corrosion engineering and cathodic protection
  • Passed EIT or FE exam
  • Collaborative approach to problem solving
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Unquestioned business and personal integrity
  • Certified with a NACE CP-1
  • Basis computer skills related to the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

 

Benefits & Salary:

  • This position pays between $80,000 and $100,000 annually and is an exempt position.
  • Benefits offered include company sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match. Also offered are tuition reimbursement, voluntary life, disability, critical illness, accident and hospitalization plans. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually.
  • Full time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours.
  • May be eligible for discretionary bonus as determined by the company.
