Design Technician

WHAT YOU’LL DO

You will be focusing on the creation and coordination of gas distribution work. You will be responsible for gathering data from field visits, creating construction plans, and ensuring seamless communication with clients.

As a Design Technician, a typical day may include the following:

• Conducting fieldwork, including taking pictures and measurements of gas piping and utility equipment.
• Documenting field findings, creating digital sketches and maintaining accurate records.
• Collaborating with clients, explaining gas standards, and addressing questions and concerns
• Generating construction material lists and cost estimates
• Creating construction prints and supporting documentation
• Ensuring compliance with federal/state pipeline safety regulations

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Graduate, Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree
• Have reliable transportation
• Curious and active listener: You have a deep hunger to learn, coupled with a willingness to think outside the box. You ask a lot of questions. You recognize there is a difference between “hearing” and “listening.”
• Resilient and self-motivated: You are always striving to build upon previous successes
• Detail oriented: The little things matter!
• Collaborative: When we all succeed, we’re better for it!

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Basic construction experience
