What You’ll Do:

A Lean Construction Project Manager is a professional responsible for overseeing construction projects with a focus on implementing Lean principles and practices. The role involves optimizing efficiency, minimizing waste, and improving collaboration throughout the construction process. This position plays a key role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and completion of construction projects.

• Integrate Lean principles into construction processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall project performance.
• Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, considering Lean methodologies to streamline workflows and optimize resource utilization. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement best practices.
• Foster strong collaboration among project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders. Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
• Monitor project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget constraints.
• Proactively identify and address potential risks, developing strategies to mitigate challenges. Manage portfolio of process improvement and visual management initiatives for client’s portfolio management team.
• Implement quality assurance measures to uphold construction standards and deliver projects that meet or exceed client expectations.

This is a hybrid remote & onsite role that will regularly require travel to the office & project sites in San Ramon, CA.

Required Qualifications:

• Underground Construction Background, preferably in Utilities – Gas or Electric
• General project management experience. Ability to manage cost, budget, schedule, and coordinate site walks as necessary.
• Proven experience in Construction Project Management with a focus on Lean principles
• Experience leading Process Improvement Initiatives
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SAP, Primavera Unifier, ProjectWise, Tableau, PowerBI
• PMP Certification - Desired

Benefits & Salary:

• This position pays between $91,000 and $110,000 annually and is an exempt position.
• Benefits offered include company sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match. Also offered are tuition reimbursement, voluntary life, disability, critical illness, accident and hospitalization plans. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually.
• Full time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours.
• May be eligible for discretionary bonus as determined by the company.
