Purpose of the job:
This position is responsible overseeing a variety of field personnel supporting operating companies. Field personnel activities could include pipeline inspection, regulator station inspection, paving inspection, meter marking, weld inspection, and record keeping. This position requires an intimate knowledge of operations activities, procedures, and code requirements. This person acts as a liaison between the client and field personnel as well as a liaison between the client and the client’s customers.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Developing an intimate knowledge of the client’s business and establishing and maintaining quality relationships with key contacts in the client’s organization.
- Providing input to Project Managers and the Business Unit Leader concerning potential process and design improvements related to Field Services.
- Assuring that field personnel have the proper training and credentials to fulfill their responsibilities.
- Performing Quality Control checks on work being performed by field personnel.
- Mentoring field personnel with an emphasis on understanding their role and maintaining the highest level of ethics.
- Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as necessary.
