What You'll do: Acts as the field point of contact for questions or concerns from co-workers with less experience. Assess daily workload and assigns jobs, projects, or individual tasks to fielding team. A portion of daily assignments may include gathering detailed information on utility poles, electrical distribution and telecommunication lines, pole attachments, wire heights and any other information necessary for the purpose of pole loading, permitting, design planning, and/or drafting. Manages multiple field teams


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  •        Provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to field staff members, including technicians, engineers, and other field personnel
  •        Ensure team members are properly trained, motivated, and equipped to carry out duties effectively
  •        Manage and optimize the allocation of resources, to include personnel, equipment, and materials to ensure efficient field operations
  •        Oversee day to day field operations, to include site inspections, installations, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities while making sure everyone follow protocols
  •        Track and monitor the performance of field operations, to include productivity, quality, and compliance with project requirements
  •        Serve as the primary contact for stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams
  •        Identify potential risks and challenges associated with field operations, such as safety hazards, resource constraints, resource constraints, or technical issues
  •        Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting best practices, evaluate operational processes, and implement enhancements to optimize efficiency, productivity, and satisfaction
  •        Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards
  •        Maintain accurate records of field activities, including work orders, equipment inventory, project documentation, and customer interactions
  •        Collect accurate and complete data for permits, easements, and right of ways in a timely manner
  •        Interact professionally with clients, property owners, contractors, and developers as needed
  •        Ability to interpret and understand field sheet notes, schematics, maps, and drawings
  •        Produce routine and project specific correspondence in a neat, timely, and legible manner
  •        Follows and ensures others follow general safety guidelines and are wearing appropriate PPE


Required Qualifications: 

  • 2-year degree or equivalent experience
  •  3 years of previous experience in telecommunications and/or electrical utilities (5 years preferred)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products and routine office equipment


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  •      Knowledge of field operations processes, to include installation, maintenance, repairs, and inspections
  •       Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies, to include project planning, resource allocation, scheduling, and budgeting
  •       Knowledge of industry specific regulations, standards, and best practices relevant to the field of work, to include safety regulations, environmental regulations, and compliance requirements
  •       Knowledge of the technical aspects of the field, to include equipment functionality, troubleshooting techniques, and maintenance procedures
  •       Knowledge of communication systems and protocols used to coordinate with field personnel and stakeholders
  •       Knowledge and commitment to safety protocols and procedures
  •       Skill to lead and supervise a team of field personnel, providing guidance, direction, an
  •       Skill to communicate effectively both written and verbal with field personnel, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
  •       Skill to be organized to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines
  •       Skill in using relevant technical tools, equipment, and software required for field operations
  •       Ability to build positive relationships with field personnel, stakeholders, and clients
  •       Ability to be well organized in data management and record keeping, to include accurately document field activities, maintain records, and generate reports as required
  •       Ability to be flexible and adapt to work in diverse field environments and handle unexpected challenges
  • Ability to have a strong customer service orientation to ensure client satisfaction
