Infoblox Engineer
The Application Delivery engineering team at our company is responsible for the engineering and renovation of our global internal & external DNS, DHCP and IPAM infrastructure, as well as our F5 hardware, virtual and software LTM & GTM capability. We are embarking on a multi-year program of consolidation and replacement of our DDI infrastructure leveraging Infoblox.
The team is also responsible for integrating this plant into our centralized self-service configuration management & monitoring systems, and delivering plant management automation. We are seeking a skilled engineer with DNS, DHCP and networking knowledge to join our team and contribute to this replatforming initiative.
An experienced engineer with solid technical fundamentals, proven expertise with Infoblox products, and a passion for automation would be the ideal fit for this role. The role involves:
Working with solution architects, operations, application developers and fellow engineers to provide a well documented, monitored, stable and supportable DNS, DHCP & IPAM plant
Communicating with internal clients and stakeholders to identify new business requirements and design well architected infrastructure solutions that meet their needs
Recommending changes to improve performance and stability at the configuration or code level
Working as a top-level escalation point to perform complex troubleshoots, working with other infrastructure & application owners to resolve issues in the environment
Implementing automation for certification and plant management using Python and Ansible
Skills Required:
Expertise with Infoblox DDI architecture, deployment, configuration and management APIs (BloxOne, Threat Defense, Global Load-Balancing etc..)A firm understanding of networking concepts & protocols at all layers: TCP/IP, BGP, HTTP, SSL etc...Experience automating repetitive tasks related to installation, configuration or management of infrastructure using Ansible, Python, shell or other scripting/programming language Comfort working with a Linux-based command line
Skills Desired:
Hands-on experience deploying & configuring other network infrastructure (Cisco, Arista, etc...)Experience with distributed web applications and knowledge of their underlying infrastructure
Knowledge of virtualized and containerized infrastructure
Understanding of software version control, deployment & build tools and SDLC practices
Recognised industry certifications from Infoblox and other DDI vendors
