Position Overview:


Job Role: Project Manager 


Job Location: Alpharetta, GA.


Description:


“This role requires that all successful applicants be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of the engagement and provide proof of such vaccinations within 3 days of commencement of services.”


FYI, where work location is US onsite, the expectation will be that contingents attest they are vaccinated and upload proof of vaccination within 3 days of their start date, else they would be disengaged.


This would be based exclusively on job location in Fieldglass/Workday.


Program Summary:


The Re-Platforming Program is a global transformational program which will serve as an enabler for a Flexible Hybrid Working Model, where firm employees can access applications and data seamlessly from any Office Desk, Home or whilst Traveling. 


This will be achieved through the replacement of primary physical desktops with an Alternate Desktop Hardware (ADH): virtual desktop or laptop technologies. This strategy will break the link between desktops relying on a fixed desk location, whilst retaining a high-quality End User Experience.


The Program aims to migrate all users from physical desktops to an appropriate ADH technology by July 2023. 


Position Role and Responsibilities:


The Re-Platforming Division Migration Project Manager will be responsible for the global deployment of one or more Divisions to ADH technologies. 


The successful candidate will:


#Engage with senior business leaders in Division(s) to develop the strategy for their migrations to ADH


#Project manage the migration of one or multiple Divisions to ADH


#Create and manage a deployment plan per Division


#Provide scope list to technical deployment teams


#Manage the right sizing of future state ADH compute requirements, based on current user compute utilisation metrics


#Schedule pilot, UAT and full-scale migrations with the Division and Regional Deployment Leads


#Act as the first escalation point of contact for global Division deployment issues


#Provide detailed bi-weekly status reporting to the Division Engagement Lead, Global Project Manager and PMO (Including RAID Log)


#Adhere to the Reporting schedules set by the Program


#Provide communication updates to stakeholders in a timely manner


#Task management of the Migration engineersKey 


Skills\Experience


#Ability to build and influence strong professional relationships with stakeholders across geographical & functional boundaries with conflicting priorities


#Possess the credibility and maturity necessary to manage stakeholders from technical SME up to business MD level


#Effective communication in both technical and business contexts is essential


#Ability to liaise with Business Divisions and extract business requirements in a structured manner, for presentation to the Global Project Manager


#Evaluating and negotiating the balance between delivery of business requirements and achieving deadlines and targets 


#Demonstrate experience of leading technology migration projects and understand the complexities and issues that result from such initiatives 


#To clearly articulate the project's objectives and requirements, as well as documenting project risks and issues.


The role involves preparing and delivering presentations on a regular basis, requiring confidence in communication


#Accuracy and attention to detail is a priority


#A preference for candidates who have previously worked on desktop transformation Programs


#Experience of virtual desktop infrastructure / DIDC projects would be desirable


#Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Teams experience within project management 


#The ideal candidate should have 5+ years

#Prior experience working in financial services or consulting firm required
