Description
-Responsible for the efficient scheduling and administration of TWS 9.5 in a TWS End-to-End environment supporting Production, Development and QA environments
- The Scheduling Administrator requires an in-depth knowledge of Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS), including related control and monitoring systems
-The Scheduling Administrator implements and analyzes complex application dependencies working independently with the applications developers to optimize their batch job schedules
-The Scheduling Administrator must evaluate every scheduling request, exercising independent assessment and judgement and provide a comprehensive explanation for rejecting a request or proposing an alternate scheduling implementation
-Candidate must have proven ability to independently design and build jobs streams to solve complex workflow automation scenarios
-Must have 5+ years administration experience with Tivoli Workload Scheduler functions to configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Tivoli Workload Scheduler 9.3/9.5 on the mainframe
-Experience with event-based scheduling
-Experience with TWS End-to-End Scheduling
-Experience using CA-11 (CA Workload Automation Restart Option for z/OS Schedulers)?Ability to work with a diverse group of people of different skills, backgrounds, departments and management levels
-Candidate must have experience in Mainframe batch environment; knowledge of TWS support operations, best practices and processes
-Completes special projects and duties assigned by management to improve batch operations and identify automation opportunities.
-Works directly with new customers and project teams to ensure all Scheduling Best Practices and Policies and Procedures are understood and followed
-Knowledge and Usage of DWC
-Makes recommendations for improvements to Scheduling Administration Best Practices and policies and procedures
-Experience with REXX coding
-Knowledge of Segus TWS tools a plus
