FIDCOM trade lifecycle is a fast-moving global front office development group that works closely with the trading / sales desk, Strats and Operations teams. Within it the FXOptions Trade Lifecycle team support the continued expansion of the vanilla and exotic trading for FxOptions businesses by growing and maintaining a comprehensive suite of applications encompassing pre-trade and trade workflow, trade capture, lifecycle, affirmation, confirmation, sales, risk & PnL, collateral management and settlements.

These functionalities use proprietary stack of applications that span multiple technologies written in Java, C++, XML/Message

Position Description:

The team is looking for individuals with strong analytical and problem-solving skills who are keen to learn about our business and apply their expertise to solve complex business problems. Candidates should possess the ability to program in Java and skills to work collaboratively across various Fx development teams as well as with Sales, Trading desk, Operations and Finance users, all who are spread globally across Montreal, New York, London and Asia, to analyze requirements and deliver high quality solutions.

Required skills:

- Strong java development skills

.- XML, RDBMS and SQL knowledge

- Solid understanding on OO design principles

- Good analytical, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to multi-task and have interest to understand business client needs.

Desired skills:

- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

- Financial background

- Linus/Unix shell scripting, C++ and/or Scala
