We are looking for a talented web developer to join our group. The SPG Lending technology team supports the CRE (Commercial Real Estate Lending) and FSL (FID Secured Lending) businesses; the business is comprised of bankers, underwriters, closers that take part in the origination, securitization and asset management of loans. The lending business has grown substantially in the past five years, and as a result there has been a significant demand for modern technology platforms that can scale with volumes and products to replace legacy systems. The business is in constant demand to automate the business processes and increase the wallet share.

ISG Lending technology handles the systems that support this effort from market insight and pre-pricing functionality to sourcing, underwriting and asset management.

Role Description

We are looking for a creative and talented backend developer with an eye for quality and emphasis on details that will help the team build a modern lending platform that combines and replaces several internal systems, streamlines business functions and opens business opportunities. The successful candidate must have very good communication skills and be comfortable working with a global team. The role provides plenty of opportunities to learn the business with direct exposure to the business unit and strat groups.The candidate will work with a global team concentrated in Montreal, New York and Bangalore.

Role and responsibilities

Work within agile squad to build best-in-class Warehouse Lending platform.

Create and maintain self-contained, scalable and testable micro-services.

Deliver results thorough understanding of the responsibilities of the platform and enhancing backend micro-services, database and other components of the system.

Work with business stakeholders to facilitate the work-intake for the development team

Required skills

5-10 years of actual experience in building Java, Spring, Restful micro-services

Strong knowledge in Java 8+, Spring, Spring boot, Unit and Integration testing

Knowledge in working with Relational Databases and writing SQL queries

Experience in OOP concepts and design patterns

Great communication skills and experience with client interaction

Desired Skills:

Knowledge in building Angular, web-based applications is an asset

Knowledge in building C#, WinForms or Web API applications is an asset
