Description

We are looking for a Business Manager in Montreal to fulfill a critical role supporting the ETS organization as it embarks on a large multi-year project. The Business Manager will be responsible for providing comprehensive financial analytical support, financial control and reporting duties for a large multi-year New York Metro campus refurbish program. Direct management will be from ETS Business Management team but the successful candidate will form an integral part of the ETS Project Management Team and have a co-reporting line to the Program Manager.


Key Responsibilities Include:

- First point of contact for all financial queries from various stakeholders such as Management, Project Managers and Cross department business managers

- Understanding the ETS cost base and complexity of its product allocations to BUs to provide financial information in a manner that supports strategic decision making

- Gathering financial information from Project Management Team and Corporate Service Division for budgeting and planning purpose

- Prepare budget and funding request for the program and ensure approval in a timely manner

- Develop a clear understanding of current allocation methodologies and be able to clearly articulate changes in allocations as a result of strategic support model changes to clients

- Prepare value-add commentary to periodic management and financial reporting packs

- Analyze actuals vs. Budget/Forecast variances + model impact of future program cost to clients

- Support BU review meetings and prompt resolution of financial follow-ups

- Financial modeling of specific saving or investment showing impact from both a provider and receiver perspective

- Reporting ETS Multi Year Financial Plan and articulating commercial strategies that drive ETS towards hitting multiyear cost saving targets (manpower and non-manpower)

- The successful candidate will be required to show flexibility and participate in special projects as requested by management


Skills Required:

- Finance and Accounting qualification

- Methodical/organized approach to financial analysis and accounting processes

- Strong communication/interpersonal skills to be able to interact at all levels & be effective as part of a broader team of business managers

- Aptitude for IT and strong understanding of technology concepts and terminology (experience and working knowledge of distributed Infrastructure environment preferred)

- Strong data modeling and data handling skills

- Experience in building business cases

- Effective organizational & prioritization skills

- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint


Skills Desired:

- Experience of Finance systems and having worked in an FCG reporting function

- Familiarity with Investment Banking environment
