Job Title: US T+1 Project Manager # Institutional Securities Technology 

DESCRIPTION

Team Profile:

The ISG Cross Divisional Programs Group is responsible for large technology & process change initiatives including MiFID II, Brexit and LIBOR Transition and is recruiting for an enthusiastic and delivery focused project manager to join its New York team with an initial focus on the US Accelerated Settlement Program.

The successful candidate will partner with numerous Operations and Technology departments to define system impact and deliver on technical plans in accordance with the business strategy for each division front to back from requirements definition through technical development, front to back testing, deployment and prod beta verification. 

Candidates will need to be comfortable working in a matrix style, as part of a relatively small central team, collaborating with Operations and Technology SMEs and project managers embedded in different departments and business units. 

Job Duties:

#Assess and document the impact of the business problem across the full functional architecture.

#Interpret the impact in terms of functional change required and communicate to impacted Teams.

#Produce technical plans and specifications with associated assumptions, dependencies, risks & issues.

#Produce reports and communication artefacts for working groups and steering committees.#Be a clearing house for emerging issues and requirements and manage them to resolution.

#Track status and progress and ensure smooth delivery into a front to back test environment. 

#Develop and maintain strong working relationships with partners in Operations & Technology and the various business units.

#Partner with Operations and Technology SMEs to define process change, technical design and architecture for a particular ecosystem.

Requirements:

#Master's degree or equivalent and five (5) years of relevant experience developing applications for a global financial services institution; or Bachelor's degree and eight (8) years of relevant experience.

#Excellent track record of application product development and delivery of complex global projects in Financial services domain

#Project leadership; bringing different teams together to execute on a plan towards a common goal.

#Strong communication & networking skills.

#Strong problem solving and analytical skills

#Self-motivated individual and creative thinker who will take ownership of tasks and projects, able to work with the global team, and manage time and tasks effectively and independently.

#Strong business knowledge across equity and fixed income securities with a particular focus on security settlements, middle office trade processing and securities lending.

Desired Skills:

#Other financial services business knowledge.

#Experience in managing the delivery of computer applications via established software development lifecycle models like Agile

#Experience of project planning, delivery management and program management.

#Experienced user of tools such as Excel, Visio, JIRA, JIVE, TWiki, Microsoft Project and Sharepoint.
