Role Summary
Our company is seeking an experienced candidate to join the Technology Business Development (TechBD) group with responsibility for supporting strategic business relationships between the various technology organizations, the vendor community, and the front office of the Firm's business. This role will include researching, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting content focused on market trends.The successful candidate will report to the Executive Director responsible for the Fintech Sector. The candidate will also be working closely with the other Sector teams within TechBD. This role will be highly visible at the most senior levels and will also entail very close working relationships with leaders throughout the Firm and external community.
Primary Responsibilities
Technology Business Development identifies and supports the creation of strong relationships between the various technology organizations and the business/front office divisions of the bank. The role entails significant elements of market insights, relationship development, strategy development, and some technical advisory. In particular the primary elements of the role include:
?Insight/Competitive Landscape Development-Conduct extensive research on a specific technology sector/theme or industry trend (mainly in the Fintech space).
?Understanding how markets work, insights into trends or technology that are shaping markets, ability to identify opportunities-Analyze market, industry, product comparison and technology trends and provide view on findings while also mapping against Firm opportunities.
?Scout vendor solutions from large incumbents and small start-ups, matching innovative solutions with the problems that MS IT is trying to solve. Provide thoughtful analysis with a focus on gaining context to surface up insights. This includes creating vendor/product landscapes to be leveraged for decision making and sharing with senior stakeholders.
?Deliver tables, graphs, and reports in support of key research and findings.-Collect, filter, consolidate, and articulate insights from internal IT executives as well as external companies/partners to enrich your findings in order to develop a consolidated view. Also highlighting up and coming technology companies for future partnerships.-Create collateral for company profiles, communication strategy, M&A ideation, knowledge shares, vendor/industry landscapes, strategy summaries, and investment proposals.-Prepare reports leveraging existing tools-Develop clear, concise, data-driven content
?Drive Transformation and Awareness Across Businesses-Develop relationships with various businesses across the Firm to understand priorities, gaps and Firm opportunities-Build business/investment cases to accelerate the evolution of transformation as part of MS IT's shift from legacy infrastructure into a modern architecture/solutions. Propose how offerings can save money, generate revenue, and reduce risk for the Firm. ?Explain and understand internal and external drivers that are impacting the industry.
?Financial analysis/modeling (including, cost analysis, spend trajectory, ROI, etc.) to create a pitch/thesis for potential future IT investment is a plus.-Share insights and knowledge with senior leadership across businesses and surface up opportunities.
?Program / Project Management -Develop best practices to foster, manage, and track key projects and client events (ex: Salesforce).
-A hallmark of our company presence in the industry is its conferences and events for the technology sector. TechBD in partnership with Technology Banking is responsible for a number of MS-branded technology conferences (i.e. Tech Week, CTO Innovation Summit, Fintech Summit) as well as sector-specific industry events. These events are designed to create value for the companies who participate in the conferences, expose internal IT leadership to new companies, and deepen our company Banking relationship with these companies.

Skills Required:
?At least 6-8 years of experience in Enterprise IT, Technology Company, Financial Services, or Consulting.
?Awareness and familiarity of industry trends and key vendors (Fintech awareness is a plus). Ability to explain and understand key drivers that impact business operations as well as IT.
?Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively to gain respect and influence internal management and external executives (ex: clients, partners, business leaders, peers, executives, etc.)
?Strong communication skills with ability to react quickly in high-intensity.
?Ability to condense large amounts of technical or general information into concise action orientated digests. Ability to understand Enterprise IT priorities and issues, industry trends, and vendor product portfolios.
?Requires a mix of technical, business, administrative, and relationship management skills. ?Strong writing skills and ability to generate and present decks and various documents for senior leadership.
?Self-starter who can excel in a fast-paced environment. Proven ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects with minimal supervision. Can manage a complex everchanging priority list and resolve conflicts to competing priorities.
