Job Title: Vendor Risk Management Specialist

Technology/Role/Department at our company Technology & Operations Risk (TOR) manages operational and technology related risks on behalf of the Firm. The groups key principles are to provide proactive, comprehensive and consistent risk management, to enable the execution of the Firms strategy. Technology & Operations Risks mission is to deliver first-line defenses to manage risks to Firm technology, information and cyber threats through risk identification, control management and assurance. This allows the business to operate and grow in a secure and legally compliant manner.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist with the on-boarding of third-party technology vendors used by companies that have recently been acquired by our company Work closely with Service Owners to support the creation of third-party vendor inventory records for new and existing services Work with Sourcing to understand if existing third-party vendor inventory records can be leveraged
Drive discussions with our other company Business Units to determine appropriate ownership of third-party vendor inventory records Report on on-boarding status on a weekly basis, ensuring transparency on progress and any risks or issues that have been encountered Once on-boarded drive compliance with key third party risk management policy requirements such as the creation of vendor contingency plans Assist with the determination of whether a service should be considered outsourcing. If determined to be outsourcing, assist with progressing the service through the heightened requirements for these types of arrangement
Oversee and work with other Business Units to ensure dependent activities are understood and coordinated within the larger program activities Attend regular integration meetings and provide updates on progress Perform Quality assurance of third-party vendor inventory records to ensure accuracy
Provide guidance to Service Owners on key facets of the third-party program Respond to queries from Management and other interested groups in a timely manner Skills Educated to degree level in relevant subject (e.g. Information Technology, Risk Management, Business Management) Experience with third party vendor risk and relationship management Experience in determining whether third party services constitute outsourcing Experience with institutional integrations and/or technology risk management Program/project management experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Good attention to detail and good organizational skills Strong Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel) skills Experience of stakeholder engagement at different levels of an organization Accurate, tenacious and delivery focused mindset Comfort working with ambiguity, managing and resolving complex issues
