Mainframe Computing (MC) is a global organization that manages the mainframe infrastructure for our company. We are a technology enabler for the business by providing a strong, resilient, and stable platform to host and enable business innovation/growth across our lines of business. The COO organization is comprised of the Program Management Office, Risk and Business Management functions. The Workforce Project Manager role will report directly to the Chief of Staff and will be responsible for oversight and execution of the workforce strategy as well as support on various analyses and projects. This individual will serve as the liaison between Business Management and the Workforce Management team to ensure requisitions are being opened timely, accurately documented and tracked. This role will manage all recruiting needs across the organization and coordinate all recruiting practices/activities with the MC leadership.
Position Description: Seeking a Workforce Project Manager who has qualified experience managing workforce strategy and various projects preferably in a financial industry. The qualified candidate is execution and delivery-focused, works well across diverse teams, has strong communication and influencing skills, the ability to organize, coordinate and track many moving parts, manage vying priorities, and do so with proficiency in self-prioritization. This candidate will build rapport with key stakeholders and establish themselves as a trusted partner.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Effectively coordinate with hiring managers to ensure resource transactions are approved in line with policies
• Communicate all resource strategy changes and planning in a timely fashion to the Resource and Business Management teams to ensure they are accurately depicted in the system within reporting cycles
• Facilitate recruiting effort by working with Resource and Business Management, HR and Sourcing recruiters and vendors as required to ensure timely hiring
• Understand multiyear workforce strategies and plans of the organization including headcount and spend targets
• Identify opportunities to accelerate the pace of hiring and execute on them
• Compile reporting and management updates to provide transparency
• Communicate progress updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders and escalate in a timely manner
• Lead issue identification and resolution
• Foster partnership with customers/stakeholders/sponsors
• Develop, analyze, and present findings in response to senior management requests
• Compile various communications/presentations for division wide forums
• Support CAO on various ad hoc projects and analyses
Experience:
• 5+ years of experience as a Business analyst, project manager, workforce manager and related experience in a financial industry
• Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality
• Experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Experience in Agile (Kanban/Scrum) methodology preferred
• Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in finance, HR, business, or a related field
• Professional Project Management Certification from accredited institution preferred
• Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Strong sense of personal accountability
• Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to analyze / synthesize large amounts of information and present findings to senior audiences
• Exposure to labor budgeting processes and concepts
• Proven ability to solve problems creatively
• Detail-oriented, collaborative, and organized
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including effectively articulating the message in a clear and concise fashion which is audience appropriate
• Superior relationship management skill to build and maintain solid engagement with key internal and external stakeholders

• Ability to document accurate and timely meeting notes, and track/manage follow ups

• Knowledge of SharePoint and JIRA
