Department Background -
Workplace Support Services hosts the Firm's global support services from global support centers to executive support services. The Experience Services Team within the Enterprise Technology & Services Department focuses on leveraging our department's direct business relationships and expertise to improve the experience of our employees. Our goal is to help engineers and product owners across the Enterprise Technology & Services division understand and develop solutions for pain-points articulated by the business. We also help these teams measure the impact of their solutions on the business to enable continuous improvement in an agile model.
Experience Analytics - Business Analyst Role
As part of a large-scale real estate program at our company, the Workplace Experience Services Team is developing a platform to provide an employee-centric view of technology through an aggregation of technology data sources. The goal of this platform is to enable product owners to optimize their decisions and priorities by leveraging data from applications and software usage, to hardware inventories and support tickets.
We are looking for a highly independent thinker to work on this exciting, cross-functional, and fast-growing new platform at the Firm. Candidates should have a curiosity about our businesses and an analytical mindset with an interest in understanding how to create tangible links between technology products and positive impacts to our business partners. Our business analyst should expect to work alongside product management for the platform to gather stakeholder requirements, and work with our senior architect and developers to create highly detailed user stories for implementation by our agile development squad. If they have a technical background, we encourage them to leverage it to actively participate in the design of a new system with some of the latest technologies the Firm has available.
We are looking for augmentation of our product management team across the following categories:
-Serve as the primary liaison with our developers and senior architect to ensure technical details are properly captured both in user stories and in documentation of implemented work
-Support the senior architect and product owners by coordinating stakeholder discussions ranging from technology system owners to platform users to gather and refine requirements
-Author highly detailed user stories alongside product owners, extending their functional requirements to include technical requirements and breaking down work as necessary
-Lead whiteboarding sessions with development team to translate functional stories into technical realities, gauging the technical feasibility and complexity of each new use case
-Conduct product demos with relevant stakeholders, capturing feedback to continue to iterate the product to meet stakeholder requirements
-Manage stakeholder relationships and facilitate requirements gathering sessions to continue to aid product owners in iterating the product roadmap
