We are looking to recruit a Business Manager in Montreal to join the Enterprise Technology & Services (ETS) Central Business Management function. The successful candidate will provide central team financial support to the ETS organization and will join an existing global team consisting of 18 Business Managers. The ETS organization is a major component of our company's Technology division and has a cost base in excess of $1.7Bn. The successful candidate will fulfil a critical role within the team and provide support and oversight across all business management disciplines including expense management, annual budgeting / forecasting processes, and provide support for a variety of adhoc management reporting needs. The role operates in a fast-paced environment and requires a strong resource who has excellent excel skills and can operate independently with a delivery-oriented mind-set.
Responsibilities:
-Develop, analyze, and present findings in response to senior management requests (Budget, Workforce, Program deliverables)
-Partner with ETS leadership, Finance, and the Technology COO office to manage and oversee investment management processes especially as it pertains to incremental initiatives
-Drive cross department coordination on divisional efforts (e.g., annual budgeting/monthly forecasting, strategic investments, cost efficiency, etc.)
-Report project cost to multiple levels of stakeholders in a clear, concise and transparent fashion -Develop robust analytics and increase transparency to drive divisional strategy and management decision making
-Demonstrate good time management, resource management, ability to prioritize tasks and to meet deadlines across multiple projects
-Produce and vet meeting content and materials for the ETS BM lead
Requirements:
-3+ years of experience in management consulting, strategy, resource and budget planning -Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills (Verbal and Written)
-Ability to work across functional disciplines and with all levels of the organization
-Ability to bring teams together toward a common goal who are not directly reporting to the same manager -Demonstrate the ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment while juggling multiple tasks
-Demonstrates significant discretion and respect for confidentiality of sensitive information -Well versed in the project lifecycle, project coordination or project management
-Strong Excel skills
- able to analyze and manipulate large sets of data to inform stakeholders including shortcuts and formula functions, building charts and graphs, sorting and filtering data, utilizing pivot tables, macros
-Superior PowerPoint, SharePoint, Project and general MS Office skills
-Strong problem-solving, analytical skills and strategic planning ability
-Exceptional attention to details, highly organized and goal oriented
-Understanding of general finance and accounting principles
Nice to have:
-Experience in management consulting firm a plus
-Organizational strategy background
-Experience in project and operation management positions in IT , Finance or Consulting industries
