Team Profile

This experienced Project Manager will join our company's established application & infrastructure migration project; Project Alchemy. Alchemy is a global team which manages end-to-end IT migration initiatives. Activities range for initial engagement with the business to define the migration scope & approach, to performing the technical build & executing IT change when the markets are closed. Alchemy manage the logical and physical migration of our company's application infrastructure and associated storage, as well as performing hygiene initiatives to upgrade infrastructure onto the latest, encrypt able hardware & software operating versions.


Primary Responsibilities:

Alchemy is establishing a new technical team to scale up NAS migration & refresh work across several of the bank's strategic data centers. Your role as Project Manager will be to supervise and co-ordinate the technical execution team and support them to overcome obstacles during the cyclical process. You'll govern the overall NAS end-to-end process and ensure all the pre & post-migration tasks and milestones are completed to ensure successful migration delivery. In this role, your primary responsibilities will include:

- Analysis to derive the migration event scope / schedule, and target capacity selection

- Migration metrics, reporting and data presentation to accurately communicate the migration status

- Communication with migration stakeholders and application clients teams.

- Governing a technical team for of migration engineers to deliver successful NAS storage migrations, whilst ensuring no negative impact to the business


QUALIFICATIONS:

Skills required:

-Basic knowledge of infrastructure storage solutions (NAS/SAN)

-Proficient with MS Excel / PowerPoint-Proactive problem-solving ability

-Results and client -oriented mindset-Strong data analysis

-Excellent data modelling & problem-solving ability

-Team player


Preferred Qualification:

- TIL foundation or similar

- Familiarity with basic UNIX commands-

- Experience of migration / large-scale infrastructure delivery projects
