Institutional Securities Technology (IST) develops and oversees the overall technology strategy and bespoke technology solutions to drive and enable the institutional businesses and enterprise-wide functions. Position Description:
The Credit Technology team is responsible for delivering pricing, execution, and lifecycle management capabilities to Corporate Bond, Credit Default Swap, Structured Credit Products and Emerging Market business users.Our system is a highly distributed, low latency trading system based on a Java server platform with a C# client UI. It performs trade capture electronically, via bulk uploads and through user input. The system relies on many modern technologies such as grid computing, distributed caching, multi-threading and load balancing.
Job Responsibilities:
We are looking for developers of all experience levels to help us build and maintain a fast, reliable, secure, and resilient enterprise platform on a global scale. We need pragmatic developers who focus on building robust solutions not quick fixes. Our system is connected to multiple systems both up and downstream. The successful candidate will interact directly with Trading Support Group, QA, and technologists across the firm.
Technical Skills Required:
- Strong hands-on technical experience delivering solutions using Java including: OO Design and Programming, Distributed Architecture Design.
- Strong experience in software infrastructure and framework based software design and development
- Experience with relational databases
Other Skills Required:
- Excellent collaboration/teaming skills
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels within Technology, Business and Operations
- Excellent analytical and systems design skills
- Ability and experience in effectively handling multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent presentations skills: communicate in a clear and concise manner; individually or in front of a group.
- Sense the objectives of senior management and can get a point across quickly.
- Ability to set an example for team members in the following manner: hard work, a focus on client delivery, preparedness, organization, a positive attitude and respect for others.
Nice to have:
- Experience with multithreaded programming and concurrency
- C# experience
- Strong experience with design and development of large-scale enterprise systems. - Development experience within the financial/banking industry
